The Redwood is an all-day kitchen, natural wine bar, and bottle shop in Sebastopol, CA, bringing together community with a fresh, approachable perspective on local food and wine.  Our food is produce-driven, shareable, and reflects our experiences and passions. WHAT IS NATURAL WINE?

"Natural wine" is a nebulous term. To us, natural wine is three things: grapes, soil, and sunlight. We look for wines that are farmed organically and thoughtfully, with minimal intervention in the cellar. This means the grapes are fermented using their native yeasts; the wines are not manipulated using additives that alter the flavor, aroma, color, or structure of the finished product; and they are not chemically fined or filtered. We feel that wines made in this style best represent a unique sense of place -- the terroir of the land the grapes were grown in. They are not robbed of their individuality, but rather allowed to echo the specific time and place they are from.
